A San Antonio native with a deep-rooted passion for the hospitality industry. After over a decade of living and working in Austin, gaining invaluable experiences through my events career; I returned to my hometown in 2020 and began two new journey’s - motherhood and establishing my own brand, DC Design Consultant.
After graduating Texas State University with a degree in Hospitality, I embarked on a fulfilling career path in event planning and design. I spent nearly 7 years with one of Austin’s premier Event Planning and Design firms, Caplan Miller Events, where I honed my skills in creating memorable experiences and flawless execution. My time there allowed me to work on a diverse range of events, from corporate gatherings to lavish weddings and everything in between. While having the mentorship of two trailblazers in the event industry of Austin, Courtney Caplan and Sarah Miller.

Driven by a desire to further explore the industry, I transitioned into Event Sales as an Account Executive for 3 years with Whim Hospitality. In this role, I enjoyed collaborating with clients to bring their visions to life through innovative decor solutions. It was immensely rewarding to contribute to the success of events through both creativity and meticulous attention to detail; while climbing to the top of the sales team and exceeding goals year over year.
My journey has been defined by a commitment to creativity and excellence in event execution, regardless of the role. These experiences not only sharpened my skills but also instilled in me a profound appreciation for the art of creating memorable experiences.

Now back in San Antonio, I am eager to re-establish roots and bring a fresh perspective to the city’s vibrant event scene; while still servicing my legacy clients and new clients in Austin. I am passionate about infusing every event with creativity and awe-inspiring details that leave a lasting impression. Whether it’s collaborating with clients to realize their vision or managing intricate event logistics, I thrive on the challenge of exceeding expectations and delivering unparalleled experiences.

Beyond my career, I am blessed with a loving family—my husband and two little girls—who bring endless joy and keep me grounded. Motherhood is my greatest joy and challenge, constantly reminding me of the importance of balance and resilience. Raised as an only child, I attribute my drive and determination to the immense love and respect instilled in me by my parents. Their guidance paved the way for my journey, fostering a commitment to excellence and a deep appreciation for every opportunity.
I am passionate about my work and deeply grateful for the support that surrounds me. When I am not planning events, you'll find me in the kitchen experimenting with new sourdough recipes, golfing with my husband, or enjoying time with my family and close friends. My favorite ways to fill my cup (besides literally filling up a cup - wine, coffee, margarita, craft beer - I like them all) are trying new restaurants, exploring new destinations with my husband, getting a fresh haircut, and going for a solo walk with a good audiobook.
